Pier Alexis Soulière.

It was Saturday, January 12, 2019. The meeting was created on the initiative of Laurent Devos, Oeunologist and zythologist, professor at Ceria.

In 2014, he won first place at the International Young Sommeliers Competition held in Copenhagen. A very high level competition during which participants from fifteen different countries had to demonstrate their skills and know-how in sommelier training.

In 2016, he became one of the few people to obtain the title of Master Sommelier before the age of 30. A title held by 256 people around the world, including 5 individuals in Canada and only 2 in Quebec. Obtaining the title of Master Sommelier is one of the most difficult to obtain and most respected certifications in the world of wine. In order to obtain this title, candidates must demonstrate exceptional skills in blind tasting, wine and beverage service and a thorough knowledge of the wine world.

In 2017, Pier-Alexis was named Best Sommelier of Quebec by the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers.

In 2018, Pier-Alexis was named Best Sommelier of the Americas by the International Sommelier Association among 20 representatives from 10 countries. He will represent the Americas at the World’s Best Sommelier competition to be held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 10 to 15 March 2019.
